What do you guys expect ppl to do?
I will certainly logoff at any real threat to safe my stuff.
Im not playing for your amusement or to give you a my hard earned isk/modules.
As long as ccp says its not an exploit ppl will continue to use the logoff.
Cowardish? Maybe but also capitalistic (safes lots of money) with no negativ effect except for the PvPers who dont get their kill.
BTW theres way more to EVE than PvP like missions, hunting, mining etc and ccp works pretty hard to add to this content.
I certainly prefer the non-pvp part of EVE, looking at the occasional pvpers i run into as a nuisance.

In chess you dont have to play for several hours with a pawn to get a queen.
Its pretty hard to get a few bil together as it is if you loose ships it takes even longer.

Why should anyone NOT use ctrl+q and logoff befor getting the attack counter?
CCP says its not an exploit and their oppinion is all that matters on that topic.
With all the disconnects (and getting stuck) there is really no way to tell who is using the tactic and who just got unlucky (at least from the server pov).
Sure it spoils the fun for the PvPers, so what?
EVE is NOT all about PvP, there is lots of other stuff you can do.
I think its a nice method of leveling the playfield for the miners/producers who dont want to engange in PvP.

PVP is pretty stupid in the first place.
Logging off works only without aggression so you have to decide befor comitting to combat what to do.
